Application Review -VQ CarFinder

image004 Application Review VQ CarFinder

Have you ever had that sickening feeling when you get to where you thought you parked your car and its not there any more? Well good news is you’ll never have to go through that again with the help of a little Blackberry app called VQ CarFinder by Vision Quest Innovations.

VQ CarFinder for Blackberry automatically records where you last parked your car, no need to activate it, or to push any buttons for it to mark your car’s location. When you’re ready to head back to your car you just push one button and CarFinder maps your way right back to where you were parked.

How Blackberry CarFinder works is that when you start your car, the in-vehicle Bluetooth device will power up. This then sends a signal to your mobile device which CarFinder then picks up on and it then automatically starts tracking your car. When you switch off your car the signal is terminated which is how CarFinder then knows to store the current location of your car.

Once you’re ready to return to your car you just select the find car option, and in no time CarFinder points you in the direction of your car.

Skyfire – web browser for Blackberry

Skyfire for Blackberry is yet to come for public release. Once Skyfire's private alpha version 1 for Blackberry was launched back in April, Blackberry owners found out what their web browsing experience was supposed to be like all along. Then, it was launched the Skyfire Alpha version 2.  So while we are all waiting for the unofficially-announced release of the public beta it seems to be the perfect time to review all of the great features that keeps us longing for better.

Both Verizon and Sprint have announced the Blackberry Tour release date of  12 July and a matching price of $200 based on a two year contract. Sprint as a matter of fact made their announcement exactly one day after Verizon. Everyone thought there would be some miraculous appearance of the Storm's sequel but know all eyes and ears are somehow  fixed on the next-in-line  promise. Some features that make the handset worth the wait include: Fast performance following the 256 mb of on board ram and revved up media playing capabilities. Each handset comes with gps  and navigation functionality supported by the service of the particular company. Blackberry's push email and high grade web browsing still brings to the Blackberry Tour the famous brand selling points and including the well known and duly expected Messaging features not forgetting the added access to facebook and twitter sites.

Stay tuned because a host of in depth reviews are sure to Tour the web in the weeks to come and they will be published for sure here at the Blackberry Lovers website. Do you think that Blackberry Tour will succeed with the mid-end consumers? ... or will it be able to compete with high-end devices?

Tips for Blackberry devices: More RIM speed

GreyhoundRace 300x167 Tips for Blackberry devices: More RIM speedDo you require your Blackberry to go@warp.speed? Here's a couple of pointers to get you cruising and to be used on your Blackberry Device, these are tips for Blackberry Storm and Blackberry Curve versions mainly. If you can't put this tips working on your Blackberry, please comment on this post. So, check this tips for Blackberry below:

For super fast access to pictures: Pictures should be moved onto the microSD on your Blackberry, try to get a microSD with 16gb - despite this won't affect this tip, it will get more space to your device to store all your stuff. Create and move into sub-folders for different categories and when you view, it should show the folders you can choose, making handling faster.

Speedy Web browsing: Turning Java off, you will still be prompted when needs be to turn it on again.Turn off HTML tables - This is older technology and not as widely used.Keep browser optimized for Blackberry and not for  PC. "Berryspeed"  is a cool little app that measures bandwidth speed. Get it at  http://ota.deltatech.com.mx/.

Faster keystrokes: Hold Alt while using the trackweel for Page Up or Down. To go to the  Top of the Page  press T, and to go to the bottom press B.

It's an all-downhill ride when  resources are free: Please note - Pressing the red phone button doesn't close a program. Instead it will run in the background continuing processor and memory usage. To curb unwanted utilization go to options>Exit when in a particular program to be closed. To see whats grading your speed press simultaneously- ALT and Escape keys, and letting go of the Escape key only,  you are able to scroll through the list of the running applications. And this I said on the last paragraph applies even to Nokia cellphones, Symbian S60 3rd and 5th Edition, or Sony Ericsson Satio that runs with Symbian S60.
