I think that I will keep some posts like an episode serial with the BlackBerry Themes made by Miguel. Unfortunately, this time I will start with a little minus namely that this theme is very similar to the one that I made a review yesterday and probably I might be wrong namely that the other themes that he made to look different (we’ll see in the posts from the days that are about to come) but these themes are almost looking the same. Better said, these two themes started from the same idea and this is why they look so similar one to each other right now.
First I want to talk a little about the designer of this theme. His name is Miguel and he is new in this so if you would buy one of his themes, it would help him very much. The home screen image is not pretty unique, I saw this idea at other themes (anyway, they were not BlackBerry themes) but Miguel included in this home screen image many elements. This is not new, I saw this before at some video games but never again at a BlackBerry theme so in this domain, namely the BlackBerry themes, his idea is pretty original.
I have to tell you that I really don’t like this type of apps. I can even say that I hate them. I’m that type of man who thinks that if there is a theme built for PC, then it should remain on PCs and not to be sold for phones or other type of PCs or anything else excepting the product it was built for. So is the iPhone theme. Actually that one is much more exploited but so are the Windows 7 themes and this time we are going to talk about an off of a BlackBerry Windows 7 Theme.
This is a really cool application and I think that one of the main reasons would be that few people are thinking to make apps to work offline especially when we talk about the GPS apps. Yes, the BlackBerry BerrySki app is able to work offline so after you download the application and the maps, you don’t need anymore an internet connection. Anyway, if you really need such an application, you have only 2 options: 1 you download this application or 2 you don’t download anything else because this is the single BlackBerry Ski GPS offline app available until now.
Usually I don’t pay attention to this type of application but let’s say that this time I’ll do because there may be people who like to use such type of application. First I want to tell you why I don’t like this type of application. The first thing may be that most of these application working only if you speak in English other most used languages but there are no chances for my language. Anyway, I don’t think how exactly can be this application but it usually happens not to write the words correctly or to fail while trying to recognize your voice.
This is a very cool theme for me and I can even feel that it came as a dedication because I just love the green color and this theme has a lot of green elements and also because I’m raising money to buy a Xbox 360. Anyway, I think you know that this is not a coincidence, green color is the color of Xbox. I think that if you have a Xbox console and you’re a very big fan of that console and at the same time you also have a BlackBerry smartphone, you will get immediately this theme or at last I’d do if I was you.
I think that if you are an IM maniac or you have friends on all messenger services, this kind of application you need to speak with them. The coolest thing at this application is that it allows you to login on more than one messenger (yahoo, MSN, AIM, Google Talk, ICQ) and then it makes a list with all of your friends showing you by an image what messenger do that person uses. There were some times when I needed such an application for PC but now I don’t use anymore so often the IM.
I was really looking for such an application in the latest time namely that it makes your life much easier. It may not be so disturbing for you to check your e-mail especially if you don’t really use so often your e-mail or better said, if you don’t receive e-mails so often but if you do, this premium application becomes something like a must have.
There is no doubt from me that this theme is dedicated to some public and not to everyone and you may wonder why. Well, in this theme the dominant color is blue so if you hate blue or for example you like just the green color (as I do) you should not get this application because I’m almost sure that you won’t like it or you will get sick of it pretty fast. Anyway, the base theme of BlackBerry is also blue because the BlackBerry itself is based on blue and even the official site has this base color: blue.
At the moment you may say that you won’t give money for this application but I tell you that you’ll need it at a point because who knows how you lose your phone so this application may be your last hope. Whenever I lost my phone (must notice that I never had a stolen phone) I would hope that my phones would be able to do such things like this application but I knew that they couldn’t so you are very lucky if you have a BlackBerry from the latest generation because you are able to apply this theme on your phone.
