How many of us have second phones?
In some professions it’s almost standard, you’d be hard pushed to find a journalist with less than two phones, for example. The same goes for agents and salespeople, actors and anyone who’s self employed. The fact is that anyone who wants to be contactable but have the luxury of being able to easily separate business and pleasure should consider a second phone almost essential to helping them do this.
Of course, we all have different requirements for a second phone. It is obviously frivolous to have two top line phones at once, and even those who do need two phones don’t want a pair of iPhone 4s or dual HTC Desires.
There are clearly conflicting needs to be considered when choosing a second phone: which of your phones needs the higher functionality? Some might need their work handset to only make calls and as such want their personal device to do more for them. Others – the self employed, perhaps – will want their business phones to do everything for them, in which case a more modest second phone seems more appropriate.
The point is that whatever the requirements, the BlackBerry Pearl can back up a superior phone in admirable fashion. Indeed, the Stylish looks and impressive capabilities – including the easy-to-use Optical Trackpad and ubiquitous BlackBerry Messenger system – make it an appealing option.
The Pearl’s call quality is adequate, and, as with all BlackBerrys, the email functionality is excellent. While it lacks the QWERTY keyboard, the Pearl is absolutely comfortable sending and receiving emails from multiple accounts.
On the flip side, the Pearl holds its own as a basic personal phone in the modern market. Its 3.2mp camera works well for a phone this size and its media playback capabilities have no doubt improved with age.
The Pearl offers the best of both worlds, good – if not great – functionality, as well as cost effectiveness, make it an essential consideration for anybody in the market for a second phone.

If you are a social media fan and love to tweet about what’s going on in your life or you are alternatively constantly checking and updating your Facebook page then the all-new Blackberry Torch is the phone for you. You can catch up with the world of Facebook whilst in the park, on the train or even abroad.
The Blackberry Torch also allows users to network with potential clients via LinkedIn. You'll find applications for all your much-loved social networking sites on the BlackBerry Torch, making viewing them as easy as the touch of a button. You can also effortlessly switch between either applications at ease as there is now no need to shut one down in order to use the other.
Another great feature is that users are able to share images easily, such as holiday photos; these can easily be uploaded from the beach or the poolside, whilst everyone else is back at home.
Staying in touch with BlackBerry Messenger has never been easier and just like all BlackBerry smartphone models; users are able to chat to your mates, family and work colleagues instantly, this is made possible by using BlackBerry Messenger. With a BlackBerry smartphone such a process is in fact faster than sending a text, especially when using the slide-out QWERTY keypad.
The Blackberry Torch offers a total of 8 GB of memory; this however is expandable up to 32 GB with the addition of a microSD card, allowing the user to store all their favourite photos, music, files and contacts all on the one handset.
The enhanced music player is now a full-featured music player all thanks to the BlackBerry 6 and a large touch screen, which allows you to view all full album art and also all the track listings. This allows the user to glance through all their favourite songs quickly and at ease.

Don’t feel attacked but BlackBerrys are not made for advanced graphics games. I don’t say that there are games for BlackBerrys that doesn’t work properly on a BlackBerry because it would be too stupid but the best games for BlackBerrys are those addictive ones and I think that the racing games are not a really good idea for a BlackBerry.

I have to admit though that this game has some really cool graphics. It might be the game with the best graphics from the app world but honestly, those graphics are still not enough to impress any human eye, especially when you look at the price.
There are not too many things to say about even if it seems to have many details and yes, it does. This is basically a racing game where the tracks you’re running on are actually in cities. I don’t know why but the developers are very excited about that but I personally think that that’s a less important thing.
I’m surprised to see that this app has just about 2MB; I was expecting of something like at least 20MB or even 50MB. Note that your device needs to have OpenGL ES for the 3D graphics from this game.
The game costs $5.99 and you can buy it from here.
This is probably the most simple app for BlackBerry ever. I can also say that it is the most appreciated simple app for BlackBerry too but if you ask me, I don’t know why you’d use such an app. I’ll explain below what is this app actually doing.

I didn’t want to put the whole name of this app in the title because that would’ve told you everything about it but some of you may still realize the functionality of this app from the shortened name too so let’s see if you were right.
This app is actually facebook with clock or as they call it, clock for facebook. That’s basically everything I can say to describe this app. I really don’t fell like I would’ve ever really need such an app. I mean it’s not the end of the world so I don’t feel the need to have clock in my facebook app. I also don’t really spend so much time on facebook at all. I think I never spent more than 10 minutes per day on facebook but it seems that there are some people who really need this because this app has 3.5/5 stars from 218 reviews which is quite a lot for such an app and any other app.
Fortunately, it’s free so you can download it from here.
This app should be found in the entertainment category because I don’t know how many people would really feel the need to have such an app on their phones and even use it very often but I can think of some reasons.

Probably those people who might need this app are those who would prefer to hear the big events that include police and fire departments exactly on the moment when it was reported and not from the actual news, radio or newspapers. You can do that but it is harder and not practical because I personally tried such an app but just for entertainment purposes – I was curious how’s to be a NYPD or LAPD employee but after a period of time while using it, it gets boring and then you finally delete it from your phone.
I tried an app for iPhone and it was free so that’s why I deleted it but if you pay money for such an app, you might not really want to delete it but you might also not want to buy it. This app contains 2000 radios but probably all or at least most of them are from US.
The app costs $4.99 and you can buy it from here.
The reasons of why I am talking to you about this app is because now you can get it 85% cheaper and because it will definitely be helpful some day for you or you might use it even more often if you’re that kind of person who likes to keep in touch with friends on twitter or facebook. This way, you won’t have to wait to get to your PC to edit a certain photo, now you can do minor edits right from your BlackBerry.

I know that there are plenty of phones who can do that right from their operating systems but those phones are surprisingly the old ones. I remember when I had an old Samsung from around 2005 and I was playing with photos that way. It seems like on the smartphones, this can never be found but there is no panic because that’s why we can install so easy apps like this one.
I found this app in the top paid apps and I personally think that it deserves to be in that top because it’s very useful and probably there is no other app like this one and at the same quality in the app world.
The app costs $0.99 and you can buy it from here.
