5 reasons for which specialist think that BlackBerry will die

1. Few applications
Research in Motion boasts about the 35,000 applications on the online store. But who needs them? Obviously, BlackBerry customers, especially since we live in a world of applications. But the same consumers may find applications on Android Market, 200,000 of them and 425,000 in Apple store.blackberry 300x167 5 reasons for which specialist think that BlackBerry will die

2. Lack of a cross-selling type system
Apple customers who received for Christmas gifts an iPhone or iPad tablet have suddenly decided they need a Mac, after all.Apple's sales cross type work. iPhone and iPhone customers are driven by the Mac. Research in Motion hasn't one. BlackBerry customers are on a desert island.

3. difficulty using
IPhone or Android consumer behavior has shown that the BlackBerry products can be anything but easy to use. Consumers simply do not have the patience to read the entire manual on how to make a call. They want to use the phone that ios handy, intuitive, without hundreds of settings  made for simple operations. BlackBerry simply fails at this aspect.

4. Price
Arguments that Research in Motion could remain an important player in the mobile market if prices fall, does not work.

5. Where is the perfect candidate?
BlackBerry handsets are built on a wrong foundation. What was hot yesterday lives on today in the BlackBerry phones. Apple and Google are always one step ahead and Blackberry fails to go along with these companies.

BlackBerry Torch 2 a step closer to launch, now tested by FCC

A few days ago I learned that RIM will launch BlackBerry OS7 terminals in the coming months, and now we have news about one of these models. Thus, after BlackBerry  Bold and BlackBerry 9900 Monza was revealed, it was the turn for Torch 2 to go into the official documents, resulting from the FCC tests.Blackberry Torch 2 BlackBerry Torch 2 a step closer to launch, now tested by FCC

Torch 2's Code name is RDM71UW at FCC and supports the connectivity bands GSM 850 and 1900, with the WCDMA II and V. These details confirm the possibility of the new terminal to operate in the AT & T network, not surprising, given fact that the first Torch was also in the operator's portfolio. It would be interesting to know, though, if Torch 2 will support HSPA + or NFC ...

From what we know so far, this new model comes with a 3.2-inch touch display, with 640 x 480 pixels, a 1.2 GHz processor, 768 MB RAM, 8 GB internal memory and a 5 megapixel camera. We now wait for a debut date for the BlackBerry Torch 2.

Samsung has maintained its leadership on the U.S. with a market share of 24.8% followed by LG with 21.1% (up from 20.9% in February) and Motorola with 15.1% (down from 16.1%).

On the top of the operating systems, the Android platform was the most important on smartphone market with a 38.1% share, up from 33% in February. BlackBerry Bold vs. iPhone

Manufactured by RIM, the BlackBerry Bold is the corporate's  standard smartphone, but the iPhone has captured the public's imagination. Does BlackBerry Bold deserve to remain a standard for business or iPhone devices are bright but lacks in substance?Iphone vs Blackberry Bold 300x224 BlackBerry Bold vs. iPhoneNow is the time for the duel between the Blackberry and iPhone, productivity smartphone vs. excellent multimedia phone. Both iPhone and  Blackberry  display email lists. BlackBerry Bold provides more navigation shortcuts  plus a search function, and the iPhone doesn't, which allows, however, to select multiple messages to delete or move non-border, unlike the BlackBerry  you can select only consecutive posts.Blackberry Bold vs iPhone 300x224 BlackBerry Bold vs. iPhone

iPhone can display most Web pages and can navigate them. BlackBerry also displays Web pages but navigation is difficult because of the small zoom capability. Display in column presents some problems of exposure in some cases, not displayed in full text. Also, the BlackBerry Bold uses HTML compared to the iPhone, which does not support Flash.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 vs. BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300

First, both work, obviously with BlackBerry operating system. There are two smartphones with QWERTY keyboard and 2.46 inchTFT display with a resolution of 320x240 pixels. Blackberry jpg 300x294 BlackBerry Curve 8520 vs. BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300

There aren't any size differences , both have 60x109x14 mm, but Curve 8520 is two grams heavier than the heir (106, 104 grams). Battery life is 4 and a half hours talk time and 408 hours (Curve 8520) and 456 hours (Curve 3G 9300 -348 hours in 3G) in standby . The internal memory is 256MB (expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card), the camera has a resolution of 2MP, no flash. None of the models has a secondary camera for video calls. Both Curve 8520 and 3G 9300 have Bluetooth , GPRS, WiFi and no radio. The important difference is that 8520 hasn't 3G.

If in the case of Curve 8520 screen size is acceptable, we can say that we had more pretensions from 9300 3G.
The conclusion is that if you want a phone like Curve 8520, but with 3G and USB 2.0, then you can opt for Blackberry 3G 9300. But the price depends on the options.

Blackberry News: Blackberry lays off 2,000 people

Research In Motion, the company that makes BlackBerry smart phones said it would lay off 10% of employees worldwide, namely 2,000 workers. The decision was taken due to heavy losses suffered by the phone maker lately.the blackberry news 300x224 Blackberry News: Blackberry lays off 2,000 people

RIM officials said the job reduction is part of the cost optimization. After dismissal, RIM will have about 17,000 employees, globally."We focus on cost  reduction and relocation of resources to areas that offer greater growth opportunities and that aligns with the strategic objectives of RIM," said a company spokesman. Also, company spokesman also announced the departure of the operating chief, Don Morrison, who retired after 10 years of work in the company. This definitely isn't good news for Blackberry or Blackberry costumers. If this is only the beginning, that means that it will follow with a increase of prices and many more.

Moreover, Blackberry will keep producing terminals with Blackberry OS, which is not exactly on the top of operating systems regarding applications.

Blackberry News: New phones, New OS

A tweet was launched today on behalf of BlackBerry officials , that  suggests the announcement of some new RIM terminals. The same tweet says that they  have a newer OS, more precisely the BlackBerry OS 7.Blackberry Torch 9860 Blackberry News: New phones, New OS

Knowing the internal problems of the Canadians regarding the directorial appeal between Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis, which has in the roots, the sharp decrease in popularity of BlackBerry devices and the period between the announcement of a terminal and its commercial launch - see example PlayBook. I wonder if the handsets that are announced tomorrow will start to get into the hands of those interested before Christmas?

It will not be so, because I tend to believe that Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis will be put on hold(if you know what I mean) even before the new terminal to reach the store's or retailer websites.

Returning to the tweet, the information we gathered from the Internet and  previous rumors, I expect that the Blackberrys that are presented tomorrow to be : Bold 9790, Torch 9810, Torch 9850, Torch 9860,  Curve 9350 and Curve 9360.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 out in August

FCC is the U.S. authority that tests and approves all electronic products before their market launch, and now came the turn for BlackBerry Bold 9900 to enter their headquarters. Along with this news we find out that the terminal will be launched in August, at least in the United States.BlackBerry Bold 9900 300x199 BlackBerry Bold 9900 out in August

FCC Tests focuses specifically on connectivity, with a strong accent on Bluetooth, NFC and WiFi, and yet we have no news about the network connections that this smart-phone has.

At this time, RIM put all their hopes in this smartphone, which will become the most evolved in means of specifications in the Canadian portfolio. We are dealing with a mobile processor 1.2 GHz, 2.8-inch touch-screen display with 640 x 480 pixels and 768 MB RAM. BlackBerry OS 7 is on theterminal, or rather a rebranded BB OS 6.1, to bring us closer to the QNX OS.

Let's see if the phone operator will be put the Blackberry Bold 9900 on sale in August or September.
