The Load-down on BlackBerry App World

The Load down on BlackBerry App World When looking for premium stuff you can find a whole online shopping cartel at the Blackberry app world. Personally I don't favor handset brands making money off their customer's by selling them software that could have been included in the deal at the time of purchasing your handset.  But since Blackberry's app world seems to be largely about third party software, I'm sure they're ahead of the other handset brands in terms of goodwill.

What I do like is the variety of ways the store offers you to get to your desired software.  You can either sit back at the comfort of your computer and browse through the complete catalog until you have found what your looking for, or else you can use the custom made app for your Blackberry to browse, review, purchase and download the software you want.

We have just received news that the app store is busy undergoing an upgrade and that by the end of the month,  Blackberry App World will be launched in 10 additional countries, namely Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Luxemburg, Portugal, the Netherlands and Belgium.  In addition it will support more languages, including French, Italian, Spanish and German.  We will keep you updated on any news, but in the mean time I definitely recommend that you head over to  Blackberry app world and  have a look  for yourself.

Berry2Berry Push-to-Talk technology

berry2berry2 225x300 Berry2Berry Push to Talk technologyMost of us are familiar with push-to-talk apps like the ones native to some symbian brands or even the brilliant Palringo service. Berry2berry is push-to-talk made easy for a range of Blackberry models. When it comes to mobile phones Push-to-talk entails the following:

  • Gives you the ability to send voice messages to another mobile running the app, using only data connection.
  • You would not be charged normal service provider call rates but only data charges and because the amount of data being sent with voice messaging is so small your charges should range from mere cents to being totally  free depending on your specific data package.
  • This technology gives you the ability to communicate in a way similar to conventional push-to-talk or walkie-talkie devices. The difference being that with mobile push-to-talk it doesn't matter how far you are from one another as long as you have access to the data network, you can send and receive voice messages.
  • Good News is that until 9 July you can get berry2berry at a discounted price of $5 and more good news is that there is a Trial version available, So Try it out for Free.

Lemmings Tribes – Delivering quality games for Blackberry

product118087 s2 Lemmings Tribes Delivering quality games for Blackberry

Lemmings Tribes

If your are like me then were both tired of all the old school, poor graphics and no story line games that are out there for todays range of Blackberries. Our intentions are to show you games that make Blackberries proud by delivering the quality you expect of software made for Blackberries.

Todays game is Lemmings Tribes. This Blackberry game does carry a price tag of $9.99. Lemmings Tribes makes good on the heritage  streaming down from the once popular Lemmings PC theme  that was doing it's rounds not so long ago.The story rests a bit on the variety of game play brought about by the  three different types of Lemming tribes which are Classic Lemmings possessing standard skills, and  Space Lemmings and Medieval Lemmings who have enhanced skill factors. The game play tests your responses as you go about saving a certain amount of Lemmings in a predetermine time, by using logic and skill to solve puzzles and problems, mastering the number of levels that are filled with dubious "traps and gaps".

Theme Review -Desk from temasblackberry

desk8900 Theme Review Desk from temasblackberry

The Blackberry brand is known as the perfect business and work tool. As a matter of fact Blackberry's past reputation was significantly more as a workhorse and it is only recently that Rim has brought out models that focus on multimedia and Entertainment as much as on business savvy and communication. Thats why I think this is a very nice theme for the latest Blackberry generation bringing a combined feeling of productivity and relaxation while helping you to stay on top of things.

Application Review -VQ CarFinder

image004 Application Review VQ CarFinder

Have you ever had that sickening feeling when you get to where you thought you parked your car and its not there any more? Well good news is you’ll never have to go through that again with the help of a little Blackberry app called VQ CarFinder by Vision Quest Innovations.

VQ CarFinder for Blackberry automatically records where you last parked your car, no need to activate it, or to push any buttons for it to mark your car’s location. When you’re ready to head back to your car you just push one button and CarFinder maps your way right back to where you were parked.

How Blackberry CarFinder works is that when you start your car, the in-vehicle Bluetooth device will power up. This then sends a signal to your mobile device which CarFinder then picks up on and it then automatically starts tracking your car. When you switch off your car the signal is terminated which is how CarFinder then knows to store the current location of your car.

Once you’re ready to return to your car you just select the find car option, and in no time CarFinder points you in the direction of your car.

Once Skyfire's private alpha version 1 for Blackberry was launched back in April, Blackberry owners found out what their web browsing experience was supposed to be like all along. Then, it was launched the Skyfire Alpha version 2.  So while we are all waiting for the unofficially-announced release of the public beta it seems to be the perfect time to review all of the great features that keeps us longing for better.
