MyPhone for Blackberry
So, are you ready to change your Berry’s interface? Lets say to something more along the lines of an Iphone interface? Then allow me to introduce you to the MyPhone app for Blackberry. Notice I said “app”, not theme. This application actually changes your entire phones user interface, rather than just changing the look of your icons. Now I am not a Blackberry user with Iphone envy, but this is a pretty neat addition to your phone if you ask me.
To purchase the $12.99 app go to shop.mmmooo.com and add to cart. You will be asked to enter your IMEI number. This is found in options; status. Once you have the application downloaded it will go directly into your downloads folder. Just click on the happy face icon and voila, your phone has an entirely new look, equipped with the Slide to Unlock feature and all.
As this is an application rather than a theme, going back to your “normal” phone interface is absolutely seamless. By hitting your escape key a time or two, you will be back at your downloads folder and in your phones original interface. Think of it as a shortcut application that allows you to access all of your phones features from new looking screen images.

Clean Icons
The Good: This application gives you something new to look at, and is a pretty clean design. Just like on the Iphone you can move icons by hovering over the one you want to move and then simply tapping the location you want it to move to. Integrated with this program are built-in system tools: memory cleaner(works great), radio tool(allows you to turn on and off radio connections), as well as system testing and mobile torch. As far as I can tell, system testing allows you to check the configuration of many of your phones functions. I regrettably must admit that I’m not completely sure of what mobile torch actually does. When I click on it, I just get a plain white screen with no indication that anything is actually happening. If anybody has more info on this, please share!

System Tools
The Not so Good: Well, I have been running this app for about 12 hours now and have had to do two battery pulls. (Since I have upgraded my Storm’s OS to .148, I haven’t had to pull at all). The MyPhone interface is not fully operational. You will have to switch to the Blackberry UI to access many things, like media, Visual Voicemail, Rhapsody, Quicklaunch and others. On the myphone interface there is a desktop icon that takes you back to BB UI, but doesn’t that kind of defeat the purpose? Also SMS is an icon on the main screen, but it’s actually the alert messages folder when you open it. Once again I had to switch to the BB UI to check my new text. One other quirk that I do not care for: the Blackberry menu button does not work on this interface's main screen, therefor, I was unable to get a screen shot of the "home page".
I am interested to know what people are thinking about this app. And I’m also wondering if there is anything I am missing. Coolness factor, I rate it an 8. Based on functionality, I give it a 3.
