If you’re having a lower version than the 5 OS on your BlackBerry Curve 8900 and you don’t know if you should upgrade your phone to the new 5 OS, you may find this post useful. This post was axed on the 5.0.0.130 so if there are some new features at some new upgrades, I’m sorry, anyway, now we’re going to talk about the main new upgrades at this new OS.
When you first turn on your phone, you see a welcome screen where your phone is loading and here already comes an upgrade namely that it has a new welcome screen represented by the BlackBerry logo and also a loading bar.
When you will enter in the applications menu, you will see icons in there which is another update.
Another new and cool feature is that when you take a photo and you press share, you can resize that photo which is very cool and also very useful I think. Also, now you can backup your contact list which is also useful. You can also make folders and move in them some icons from the menu.
Of course that there is some bug fixes including a better focus for the camera. The last new feature I would like to mention is that when you enter the media menu, you will have two new features namely explore and memory use.
I hope this made you upgrade your BlackBerry Curve 8900 to the new 5.0 OS so if you want it, just click here.
