Google Mobile includes more than just on google appiclation. This free app gives you access to your gmail, Google News, Google Docs, Picasa Photos and Google Notebook.

GridMagic and BBNotePad can view and edit .xls (Excel files), respectively .txt (Text files). I don't say that anyone needs these apps but I think that to most people are also useful.
