This is probably the most helpful application for BlackBerry that was released until now. Yes, this application is named Orientation Lock and if you didn’t yet realize, what this app does is to stop the accelerometer where you want. If you are the owner of a BlackBerry Storm 1 or 2, you probably already now that the accelerometer is also activated at the home screen and at a point, it becomes pretty annoying.

This application gives you the possibility to stop the accelerometer at the home screen and anywhere you want. I think you were looking for such an application for long time but you did not find until now.

Also, this is not the only application that helps you to stop the orientation wherever you want, there is also another app named StopTilt that until 31 May 2010 it costs $4.99 and then will cost $9.99 but if I would have a BlackBerry Storm 1 or 2, I would rather install the Orientation Lock application because is free which makes a very big difference between these 2 apps that are making the same thing to your phone.
