Here we have another comparison and I tried to make this “battle” to be fair for both phones so let’s see if these phones are similar.
First, I want to tell you that the Samsung Omnia PRO 5 starts with a very big plus namely that it has been announced this month to be released probably next month while the BlackBerry Tour 9630 has been released almost one year ago on 2009 July.
At the moment we don’t know the Samsung Omnia PRO 5’s weight but we know that the BlackBerry Tour 9630 weights 160 grams.
A very important thing you should know which was also expected by me is that both phones have a 2.4” display but while the Samsung Omnia PRO 5 has 320x240 pixels, the BlackBerry Tour 9630 comes with 480x360 pixels which makes a really big difference between them.
You should also know that both phones have an insignificant internal memory but the Samsung Omnia PRO 5 has a microSD that supports up to 16GB but the BlackBerry Tour 9630 supports only 8GB which may be the first minus for the RIM product.
Also, the Samsung Omnia PRO 5 has a 2MP camera while the BlackBerry Tour 9630 has a 3.15MP camera also with autofocus and LED flash.
I’m surprised to see that both phones have GPS connectivity but I would also want to let you know that the Samsung Omnia PRO 5 comes with Windows Mobile OS which is considered by most people a dead OS.

Good information. Today I just got a Samsung Omnia SCH-i910 within the mail from ebay, and it currently seems that it’s at stock settings for your Verizon Network. I program to use this telephone on Metro PCS. I also wish to set Windows Mobile 6.five on right here, but I’m not positive which order I should do this in. Ought to I carry it to Metro PCS as is and have it activated, after which afterwards flash the ROM with 6.five? Or ought to I modify the ROM first after which take it to Metro PCS? I’ve been browsing all around and I’m unable to discover the answer to this.
