RIM finally enters the 21st century with the future BlackBerry OS 6.Whether it is art or not, BlackBerry sold in the last three months 10.5 million, so a lot of people want such an update, with a changed interface design for the BlackBerry,it can only rejoice.
This is very good, but honestly, why is RIM is so ? The company recently launched two new smartphones (Bold9650 and Pearl 3G)but these smartphones do not bring who knows what improvements to the software. However the company said that with little effort, that the BlackBerry 6 launch will not be on the next calendar quarter. We will just have to wait and see what does BlackBerry 6 brings to the table. The rumors say that this operating system will be a very good product , and it will change the market. Overall, since president Obama started using the BlackBerry products, the company experienced an improvement in sales worldwide.
Announced since last month, the first Blackberry Style 9670 smartphone have already appeared on the market in USA and in November it is expected the first smartphone to be available in Europe as well. With the Blackberry Style 9670, RIM changed little in the style lately, giving up the fine lines design in favor of the hardware, thus increasing the device's performance.
Style Blackberry 9670 smartphone is a clamshell device with a 5 MP camera with autofocus / LED Flash and has EVDO Rev-A 3Gconnectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP. The smartphone runs on an OS 6.0 operating system and has 512 MB with the possibility of extension up to 16 GB through a microSD cards. The display has 360 x 400 pixels, 2 inches QVGA for external and a 1150mAh battery that supports up to 4.5 hours of talk time.
Style Blackberry 9670 will be on financial markets in Europe close of November, priced around 100 Euro. But we have been informed that the waiting list is in the range of thousands.
Welcoming the new BlackBerry Bold family : the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 touch screen smartphones, powered by the new BlackBerry 7 OS.
Like the BlackBerry Torch smartphone, these new devices integrate brilliant, high resolution, capacitive touch screens, trackpads and full QWERTY keypads and are the thinnest BlackBerry smartphones yet with just 10,5 mm. But unlike Torch, this looks very much alike original Bold with no slide.
BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet is launched. It is available today in thousands of retail outlets across the United States and Canada. It's also available in Indonesia in surprisingly high price (compared to the other tablet)
This news is rather old, but some of my friends doesn't know about it yet, so i decide to post this article. Why do we have to create Blackberry ID?
Since BlackBerry App World 2.0, users are now required to create a Blackberry ID. A BlackBerry ID gives you convenient access to multiple BlackBerry products, including BlackBerry® Protect and BlackBerry App World. After you create a BlackBerry ID, you can use a single email address and password to log in to any BlackBerry product that supports BlackBerry ID. BlackBerry ID is your single, master key to BlackBerry® products, sites, services and applications, including BlackBerry® Protect™ and the BlackBerry® App World™ storefront. BlackBerry ID: One login. One password. One less thing to worry about.
Yesterday, my colleague asked me why she got this message :
“You must upgrade your client in order to continue”
She was asked to upgrade her Blackberry App World. Turns out she didn't know that her version of Blackberry App World, which is still 1.1, is no longer supported and required to upgrade to the latest version of BlackBerry App World. (Yes, she is the type of user that seldom upgrade unless she have to). So i told her to upgrade her App World. I'll share it again here in this post.
If you're a RIM fan, you probably already heard about the new tablet they launched. It's called the PlayBook and it's not just another tablet on the market, it stands out quite a lot and you'll see why. Honestly, I never thought that there will be an iPad competitor that will get so close to the iPad. If you ask me, the best iPad killer is the PlayBook.
I also never thought that people will be so excited about this tablet. I know this tablet is very important, much important than the new BlackBerry Torch and will probably be much important than the BlackBerry Storm 3 too because it brings something new in the tablet market and you'll see what specifically in the specs I added to the post below.
The tablet is only 7" wide and I honestly think that that's a little too low but thanks God it doesn't have the format of the Samsung's tablet because it would really look like a giant phone then. Anyway, they made it that big to be portable.
It also has a front facing camera which is very good aspect because you can make video chats like so. This became a must have on the tablets these days.
Unfortunately, the apps from the BlackBerrys doesn't work at all on the PlayBook but soon, there will be plenty of apps for it too.
Fortunately, it has another OS than the BlackBerry phones so they didn't take the Samsung's example of taking the Android OS which wasn't optimised for tablets on a tablet. The main reason of why so many people talk about this tablet and why it is so special is because it has a dual core 1GHz processor which is quite big for a tablet and never seen before on another tablet. You also get 1GB of RAM memory which should make this table real fast.
Now people expect from it to be the God of all tablets and I have to say that I've seen a lot of clips on youtube with it and if it isn't that good, at least it gets closer.
It has a 3MP front facing camera and a 5MP rear facing camera and it supports 1080p HD recording video. It also weights around a pound which is not too much, it's enough foor its sizes comparing to the other tablets I guess. Here are the full specifications of this tablet:
7-inch LCD, 1024 x 600, WSVGA, capacitive touch screen with full multi-touch and gesture support
BlackBerry Tablet OS with support for symmetric multiprocessing
1 GHz dual-core processor
1 GB RAM
Dual HD cameras (3 MP front facing, 5 MP rear facing), supports 1080p HD video recording
Video playback: 1080p HD Video, H.264, MPEG, DivX, WMV
This is the continuing part of the precedent article which can be read here (you have to read that article before reading this one to understand it). As I was saying, this phone doesn’t bring anything new on the visual aspect comparing to its predecessor but there are some major changes made in this phone that you should really read if you’re considering in buying such a phone.
As I said, this phone will come with the new BlackBerry OS6 which might be the reason of why they also doubled the RAM memory on the new BlackBerry Bold 9780.
The new BlackBerry Bold 9780 also comes with HVGA display, full QWERTY keyboard (which I have to say that it feels awesome in hands and it will be a pleasure to write text messages, e-mails and so on), an optical trackpad which will allow you to browse the menu much easier. This phone also comes with 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS so it definitely fits perfectly in the internet world. It will also have a microSD slot card but we don’t know its capacity yet. There are also no specs about its processor on the internet but I think there will be some rumors about that too soon.
