These phones are very different but this won’t stop me not to make a comparison between these two. The Nokia 5800 has a touch screen while the BlackBerry Bold 9000 doesn’t have touch screen but it has the look of those phones with full physical qwerty keyboard.
Here the time of the launch is different namely that the BlackBerry Bold 9000 was launched on May 2008 while the Nokia 5800 was launched on October 2008.
Also, here is another minus for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 because it weights 133 grams while the Nokia 5800 weights just 109 grams.
As you should know, Nokia 5800 has a 3.2 inches 360x640 pixels display while the BlackBerry Bold 9000 has a 2.6 inches 480x320 pixels display.
What I love at these phones is that both are featuring a 3.5mm audio jack so you can listen music at a whole range of earphones and speakers.
BlackBerry Bold 9000 has an internal memory of 1GB and a microSD slot card which is able to support up to 8GB which is very low from what I think while Nokia 5800 has an unimportant internal memory of 81MB but it comes with a microSD card of 8GB and it is able to support up to 16GB.
It’s ok that both phones are featuring 3G and also Wi-Fi connectivity because if you read the last article, you remember that the BlackBerry Curve 8900 doesn’t have a 3G connection.
Here is a very big plus for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 namely the 624 MHz processor and 128 MB of RAM memory while the Nokia 5800 has an ARM 11 434 MHz processor but it also has 128 MB of RAM memory.
Also, if you’re interested about photos, you should know that the Nokia 5800 comes with a camera of 3.15 MP, 2048x1536 pixels with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and dual-LED flash while the BlackBerry Bold 9000 has a camera of just 2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels and with LED flash.
Also both phones are having GPS connectivity but as I said, I don’t think that the BlackBerry would act better than the Nokia 5800 because it doesn’t has so many apps for this feature.
At last, we see a BlackBerry product that comes available in more than just one version namely Black and White. Nokia 5800 is available in blue, gray and red.
The prices for a new unlocked Nokia 5800 are starting from $278 while the prices for a new unlocked BlackBerry Bold 9000 are starting from $310 so it is clear that the Nokia 5800 really won this time.
