Here is the last comparison between the Nokia 5800 and a BlackBerry product and I think that BlackBerry Bold 9700 is going to be a little bit in advance or may a little more in advance. The first plus is that BlackBerry Bold 9700 is newer with exactly one year being launch on October 2009 while the Nokia 5800 have been launched on October 2008.
Still Nokia 5800 is lighter weighting 109 grams while the BlackBerry Bold 9700 weights 122 grams.
As you should know if you read this blog, Nokia 5800 has a 3.2 inches 360x640 pixels touch screen also with 16M colors while the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has a 2.44 inches 480x360 pixels with 65K colors so here the score is quite equal, each phone winning a point in a different way.
Both phones are featuring a 3.5mm audio jack as usually which should make you happy because it is easier to make a choice between these two phones.
The internal memories are not important being almost the same (the Nokia 5800 has 81 MB and the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has 256 MB) but the BlackBerry Bold 9700 comes with a 2 GB of external memory on a microSD card while the Nokia 5800 comes with a 8 GB on a microSD card.
Also, both phones are featuring a 3G HSDPA 3.6 Mbps and also a Wi-Fi internet connectivity which also makes you to choose easier.
Both phones are having a 3.15 MP camera with 2048x1536 pixels but the Nokia 5800 comes in plus with Carl Zeiss optics and also with dual LED flash comparing with the single LED flash from the BlackBerry Bold 9700.
The Nokia 5800 comes with the ARM 11 434 MHz processor while the BlackBerry Bold 9700 comes with a 624 MHz processor. Also, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has 256 MB of RAM memory comparing to the 128 MB of RAM memory from the Nokia 5800 so the winner is definitely the BlackBerry Bold 9700. Also, both phones are featuring GPS connectivity.
Here is another plus for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 having a battery of 1500 mAh while the Nokia 5800 has a battery of “just” 1320 mAh.
At the end I want to say that the prices for a new unlocked Nokia 5800 are starting from $289 while the prices for a new unlocked BlackBerry Bold 9700 are starting from $399 so there is a difference of $100. Honestly, I don’t know what to choose between these two but as I said, I already own a Nokia 5800 so this may remain my choice.

I think the different is not only $10 but $110.
