Nokia E71 vs BlackBerry Storm

nokia e71 4 Nokia E71 vs BlackBerry StormAt last we’re not talking about a touch screen Nokia product but we will start these comparisons with a BlackBerry touch screen product. As you can see in the title, this time we will talk about the differences between the Nokia E71 and BlackBerry Storm. First, I want to let you know that the Nokia E71 have been launched on June 2008 and BlackBerry Storm have been launched on September 2008 so there is a very small difference.

The Nokia E71 has a 2.36 inches screen with 320x240 pixels while the BlackBerry Storm comes with a 3.25 inches screen and 360x480 pixels.

A plus for the Nokia E71 is that you can easily type messages one it because of the full qwerty keyboard while BlackBerry Storm has only a touch screen but it probably also features a virtual full qwerty keyboard but it is not so efficient as the physical one.

Here is a very big minus from the Nokia E71 which was usually not happening. The Nokia E71 comes with a 2.5mm audio jack while the BlackBerry Storm has the regular 3.5mm.

Here is another little plus for the Nokia E71 namely that it weights 127 grams comparing to the 155 grams of the BlackBerry Storm. Also, Nokia E71 has 16M colors comparing to the BlackBerry Storm who has only 65k colors.

Nokia E71 comes with 110 MB of internal memory and also a microSD slot card supporting 8 GB comparing to the BlackBerry Storm who comes with an internal memory of 1 GB and also a microSD slot card of 16 GB which also comes with 8 GB of external memory.

The Nokia E71 comes with the ARM 11 369 MHz processor while the BlackBerry Storm has the Qualcomm MSM7600 528 MHz processor on it. Anyway, both phones are having 128 MB of RAM memory.

The BlackBerry Storm comes with the BlackBerry OS while the Nokia E71 has the Symbian OS 9.2, Series 60 v3.1 UI on it.

A good thing is that both phones are featuring 3G and Wi-Fi connections and also a GPS connection.

As you should know, the BlackBerry Storm comes with a 1400 mAh battery while the Nokia E71 has a bigger battery of 1500 mAh.

As I already told you few times, the prices for a new unlocked BlackBerry Storm are starting from $249 while the prices for a new unlocked Nokia E71 are starting from $250 so I have to say that this is going to be a though choice if you have to make it.
