Here we got another fair comparison and I think I already know the winner but I don’t want to ruin everything at the beginning. You should know that the Nokia E72 has been launched on 2009 June while the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has been launched on 2008 November so here the winner is Nokia E72.
Also, the Nokia E72 comes with a display of 2.36 inches and 320x240 pixels while the BlackBerry Bold 8900 has a 2.4 inches 480x360 pixels so talking about the sizes there is not a big difference.
The Nokia E72 has an internal memory of 256 MB and the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has an internal memory of 250 MB so you can say that it is still equal because there are also some differences of few MB when you look at the internal full size. Also, both phones are featuring a microSD TransFlash slot card supporting up to 16 GB.
What is lovely is that both phones are featuring a 3.5mm audio jack so you can enter a very big variety of headphones and speakers.
Also, the Nokia E72 has an ARM 11 600 MHz processor while the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has a 512 MHz processor. Also, both phones are featuring 128 MB of RAM memory. Still, the Nokia E72 won.
Both phones are featuring a Wi-Fi connectivity and also a GPS connectivity but if you ask about 3G, you should know that only the Nokia E72 has a 3G HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps; HSUPA 2 Mbps while the BlackBerry Curve 8900 doesn’t get any 3G connectivity so here is another minus.
As you should know, the Nokia E72 comes with the Symbian OS 9.3, Series 60 v3.2 UI while the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has the regular BlackBerry OS on it.
Also, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 comes only with the black color available while the Nokia E72 can be ordered in Zodium Black, Metal Grey and Topaz Brown.
You should also know that the Nokia E72 comes with a standard Li-Po battery of 1500 mAh (BP-4L) while the BlackBerry Curve 8900 comes with a standard Li-Ion battery of 1400 mAh.
At the end you should find out that according to eBay, the prices for a new unlocked Nokia E72 are starting from $355 while the prices for a new unlocked BlackBerry Curve 8900 are starting from $299 so there is still a difference so I let you decide the winner.
