bbvsnk5 Nokia E72 vs BlackBerry StormHere is the point where we change again the Nokia product and as you can see in the title, this time we will compare the Nokia E72 to the BlackBerry products which is more advanced that the Nokia E71. First, I want to say that the Nokia E72 has been launched on November 2009 while the Blackberry Storm is older, being launched exactly one year in past, namely on November 2008.

The Nokia E72 comes with a display of 320 x 240 pixels and 2.36 inches so there is no update right here comparing it to the E71 while the BlackBerry Storm comes with a display of 360 x 480 pixels and 3.25 inches. Also, the Nokia E72 has 16M colors while the BlackBerry Storm has 65K colors.

Nokia E72 comes with 250 MB of internal memory and also a microSD slot card supporting up to 16GB while the BlackBerry Storm comes with 1GB of internal memory and it also supports in its microSD card 16GB of external memory but at the same time, it comes with a microSD card of 8GB.

This time Nokia E72 has a very big update from the E71 namely the ARM 11 600 MHz processor but it comes with the regular 128 MB of RAM memory while the BlackBerry Storm has a Qualcomm MSM7600 528 MHz processor and also 128 MB of RAM memory.

Probably the best intelligent update at this Nokia E72 is the 3.5mm audio jack which is also coming on the BlackBerry Storm. I must say that if I would have to choose between the Nokia E71 and E72, this would make me to make the second choice.

The Nokia E72 comes with a 3G HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2 Mbps while the BlackBerry Storm has a 3G HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps. Also, the Nokia E72 has Wi-Fi internet connectivity on it while the BlackBerry Storm doesn’t get this but on the updated version of BlackBerry Storm namely the BlackBerry Storm 2, there is Wi-Fi connectivity. Also, both phones are featuring GPS connectivity.

As you probably already know, the BlackBerry Storm comes with a photo camera of 3.15 MP, 2048x1536 pixels with autofocus and LED flash while the Nokia E71 has a bigger camera of 5 MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels with autofocus and LED flash so here is another big update at the Nokia E72.

The Nokia E72 comes with the Symbian OS 9.3, Series 60 v3.2 UI while the BlackBerry Storm comes with the regular BlackBerry OS.

The Nokia E72 comes with the same standard Li-Po battery of 1500 mAh (BP-4L) while the BlackBerry Storm comes with a standard Li-Ion battery of 1400 mAh.

According to eBay, the prices for a new unlocked BlackBerry Storm are starting from $249 while the prices for a new unlocked Nokia E72 are starting from $357. I think that the best choice would be the Nokia E72 if you ignore the difference of price between the Nokia E72 and the BlackBerry Storm.
