When you look for the first time at these 2 phones you may say that they look the same but I’m here to tell you that you’re very wrong and here we’re going to see the differences. If you don’t keep these 2 phones in both hands, you may not notice that the BlackBerry Storm comes with a 3.25” 360x480 display while Nokia N900 comes with a display of 3.5” and a resolution of 800x480.
At the same time, Nokia N900 comes with a full qwerty physical keyboard like the N97 (stay tuned to this blog for a comparison of that phone to the BlackBerry products too) while BlackBerry Storm doesn’t got this feature. I must say that if I have to choose one design that I like mostly, I wouldn’t know what to do because I like both of them.
Anyway, now let’s fall deeper into these two smartphones and see what are the differences hiding under these designs. BlackBerry Storm has a processor of 624 Mhz and Nokia N900 has a Texas Instruments processor a similar processor of 600 Mhz but here the winner is BlackBerry. Here it comes a big difference namely that BlackBerry Storm has RAM memory of 128 MB (the Storm 2 has an update of 256 MB RAM memory) while Nokia N900 has 256 MB of RAM memory.
Probably the biggest difference between these two phones is the internal memory so be ready for it. If you read this blog, you probably already know that BlackBerry Storm has an internal memory of just 1GB and a microSD slot where you can add 16GB. Nokia N900 has an amazing internal memory of 32 GB but also having a microSD slot.
Both phones are coming with GPS receiver but Nokia N900 has Wi-Fi connectivity while the BlackBerry Storm doesn’t get this (Storm 2 does, search for the review on this blog).
If you like to make photos with your phone, you should know that BlackBerry Storm has a 3.2 MP camera while Nokia N900 comes with a 5.0 MP camera.
BlackBerry Storm has a battery of 1400 mAh while Nokia N900 has the same battery as Nokia 5800 namely a 1320 mAh battery.
BlackBerry Storm comes with few pre-installed softs namely a good organizer and an app named DataViz that is able to open Office files. Nokia N900 comes with a lot of pre-installed softs and the best of them are Firefox 3, Google Talk and Mauku.
I must say that the Operating Platform of this Nokia N900 is based on Linux but the base Operating System remains Symbian S60.
Probably you noticed some big differences between these two phones in the favor of Nokia N900 but there is also a big difference at the prices. The prices for an unlocked new BlackBerry Storm from eBay starts from $334 while the prices for a new unlocked Nokia N900 starts from $509.
Stay tuned for another comparison between Nokia N900 and BlackBerry products.

What do you mean by the base operating system remains Symbian S60?? Maemo is completely independent from Symbian
The CPU comparison is not fair. In these devices MHz is the least interesting information.
You should really benchmark what the whole device can do instead.
The N900 has co-processors for audio (DSP), video (IVA2+), and OpenGL 3D (POWERVR SGX).

And I do not think there are any traces of Symbian in the N900 (some applications are lacking some features they should have had if they had evolved from Symbian).
What I do like about N900 is, because like in the promo, it’s not just a mobile phone, or smart phone, it’s already using Maemo 5 (Linux based) as the OS, like a mobile computer. And you also didn’t say that N900 already completed with Power Graphic card, so it can run 3d based application better.
