BlackBerry Bold 9000 is very similar to the BlackBerry Curve 8900 that we have talked last time so most of this comparison will sound almost the same. As the last time happened, Nokia N97 has a 3.5” 640x360 touch screen while the BlackBerry Bold 9000 has a 2.6” 480x320 regular screen. Also, both phones are featuring a full physical qwerty keyboard.
Because of the amount of features that Nokia N97 comes with, it weights 150 grams while the “little cute” BlackBerry Bold 9000 weights only 133 grams. Anyway, the difference of 17 grams may be unnoticeable.
Talking about multimedia, both phones are featuring a 3.5mm audio jack and with Nokia N97 you can shoot photos with the 5 MP camera while the BlackBerry Bold 9000 has a photo camera of only 2 MP.
As I previously said in another article, Nokia N97 comes with a single ARM11 CPU of 434 MHz while the BlackBerry Bold 9000 comes with a processor of 624 MHz. This doesn’t mean that the BlackBerry Bold 9000 is much better than Nokia N97, probably the processor of Nokia N97 is much powerful either it looks not to be like this. Also, both phones are having 128 MB of RAM memory.
I think that Nokia put in their mind to make each phone with a pretty big storage memory so as you should know if you read the other posts, Nokia N97 has 32 GB of internal memory while this BlackBerry Bold 9000 has only 1 GB of internal memory.
Also, both phones are featuring Wi-Fi and GPS connections which are probably base features of the new products built by Nokia and also BlackBerry.
The prices for a new unlocked BlackBerry Bold 9000 are starting from $275 while the prices for a new unlocked Nokia N97 are starting from $450.
