Nokia N97 vs BlackBerry Storm

By Netoiu Andrei | March 6, 2010

vs Nokia N97 vs BlackBerry StormHere we are continuing the series of comparisons between phones. I have to tell you that we ended the comparisons made between Nokia N900 so now we are going to talk about a comparison between Nokia N97 and BlackBerry Storm as you can see in the title. Comparing these two Nokia phones, the Nokia N900 is better than Nokia N97 so this phone should be much appropriate to BlackBerry Storm.

As I usually start BlackBerry Storm has a 3.25” 360x480 which is almost as bigger as the Nokia N97 which has a 3.5” 640x360. It is obvious that both phones are having touch screens.

As you should know, BlackBerry Storm doesn’t got a physical keyboard while Nokia N97 does and it is a full qwerty one as the one from Nokia N900. This keyboard is very comfortable, but people are really missing the alphanumeric keypad and they also hate the thing that the space is placed on the right side.

Nokia N97 was built for internet maniacs so it features Wi-Fi connectivity and so does BlackBerry Storm but this phone was not built especially for internet. I mean that you are not going to have the same internet experience with both phones.

It’s funny to hear that Nokia N97 weights 150 grams while BlackBerry storm weights 155 grams so there is a very small difference.

Now here you might have a déjà vu (I’m kidding) because Nokia N97 has an internal memory of 32 GB and BlackBerry Storm has only 1 GB of internal memory. Anyway, both phones are featuring a microSD card slot which supports up to 16 GB of external memory.

Nokia N97 is featuring the 5th generation of Symbian S60 while BlackBerry Storm features the regular BlackBerry OS as the other BlackBerry products.

Both phones are having GPS receiver so Nokia N97 features Nokia Maps 2.0 Touch while BlackBerry Storm features the BlackBerry Maps.

I have to say that I fell in love with the home screen of Nokia N97 because it is very easy to personalize with a lot of widgets and social networks.

The prices for a new unlocked BlackBerry Storm are starting from 300$ while the prices for a new unlocked Nokia N97 are starting from 450$. I think that 150$ in plus than BlackBerry are worth enough to buy a Nokia N97.
