BlackBerry Game review: 3D City Stage

Don’t feel attacked but BlackBerrys are not made for advanced graphics games. I don’t say that there are games for BlackBerrys that doesn’t work properly on a BlackBerry because it would be too stupid but the best games for BlackBerrys are those addictive ones and I think that the racing games are not a really good idea for a BlackBerry.

BlackBerry Game review: 3D City Stage

I have to admit though that this game has some really cool graphics. It might be the game with the best graphics from the app world but honestly, those graphics are still not enough to impress any human eye, especially when you look at the price.

There are not too many things to say about even if it seems to have many details and yes, it does. This is basically a racing game where the tracks you’re running on are actually in cities. I don’t know why but the developers are very excited about that but I personally think that that’s a less important thing.

I’m surprised to see that this app has just about 2MB; I was expecting of something like at least 20MB or even 50MB. Note that your device needs to have OpenGL ES for the 3D graphics from this game.

The game costs $5.99 and you can buy it from here.

BlackBerry App review: Faceclock

This is probably the most simple app for BlackBerry ever. I can also say that it is the most appreciated simple app for BlackBerry too but if you ask me, I don’t know why you’d use such an app. I’ll explain below what is this app actually doing.

 BlackBerry App review: Faceclock

I didn’t want to put the whole name of this app in the title because that would’ve told you everything about it but some of you may still realize the functionality of this app from the shortened name too so let’s see if you were right.

This app is actually facebook with clock or as they call it, clock for facebook. That’s basically everything I can say to describe this app. I really don’t fell like I would’ve ever really need such an app. I mean it’s not the end of the world so I don’t feel the need to have clock in my facebook app. I also don’t really spend so much time on facebook at all. I think I never spent more than 10 minutes per day on facebook but it seems that there are some people who really need this because this app has 3.5/5 stars from 218 reviews which is quite a lot for such an app and any other app.

Fortunately, it’s free so you can download it from here.

BlackBerry App review: Scanner Radio

This app should be found in the entertainment category because I don’t know how many people would really feel the need to have such an app on their phones and even use it very often but I can think of some reasons.

30403 BlackBerry App review: Scanner Radio

Probably those people who might need this app are those who would prefer to hear the big events that include police and fire departments exactly on the moment when it was reported and not from the actual news, radio or newspapers. You can do that but it is harder and not practical because I personally tried such an app but just for entertainment purposes – I was curious how’s to be a NYPD or LAPD employee but after a period of time while using it, it gets boring and then you finally delete it from your phone.

I tried an app for iPhone and it was free so that’s why I deleted it but if you pay money for such an app, you might not really want to delete it but you might also not want to buy it. This app contains 2000 radios but probably all or at least most of them are from US.

The app costs $4.99 and you can buy it from here.

BlackBerry App review: Photo Editor

The reasons of why I am talking to you about this app is because now you can get it 85% cheaper and because it will definitely be helpful some day for you or you might use it even more often if you’re that kind of person who likes to keep in touch with friends on twitter or facebook. This way, you won’t have to wait to get to your PC to edit a certain photo, now you can do minor edits right from your BlackBerry.

editor BlackBerry App review: Photo Editor

I know that there are plenty of phones who can do that right from their operating systems but those phones are surprisingly the old ones. I remember when I had an old Samsung from around 2005 and I was playing with photos that way. It seems like on the smartphones, this can never be found but there is no panic because that’s why we can install so easy apps like this one.

I found this app in the top paid apps and I personally think that it deserves to be in that top because it’s very useful and probably there is no other app like this one and at the same quality in the app world.

The app costs $0.99 and you can buy it from here.

Yankees app review

This post is only dedicated to the Yankees fans and of course, which also owns a BlackBerry. I wished all sport teams would have a dedicated app but we must understand that Yankees is probably one of the most famous sport teams from the world.

 Yankees app review

After reading a few reviews, I noticed that this app is actually just a shortcut to their website but there’s no problem, you can still consider this an app because their website is configured to work properly with all BlackBerry devices as you can see.

I’m surprised to see that the overall rating score of this app is 4/5 from 77 reviews which is quite a lot but there are quite a lot of Yankees fans owning BlackBerrys and they probably feel like they’re supporting their team by rating this app with high notes.

On their website, you can read news, schedules, stats, scores and everything you need to read about your favorite team. The design of the mobile is very nice and also very easy to use. There are only to colors which of course, are the official colors of this Baseball team.

Anyway, the app is free and you can download it from here.

Tonido app review

It’s quite painful to review apps like this one because when the developer posts his app to the app world, he doesn’t make a good description and the screenshots are also not telling us too much. Fortunately, I think this time I can extract some information from the 3 screenshots he posted.

 Tonido app review

Its name sounds a bit weird because it has absolutely nothing to deal with the actual abilities of this app. The app is called Tonido as you can see in the title and the developer of this app is Codelathe LLC.

The app doesn’t have a certain design so if you’re looking for something that also looks good, this app is not for you at all.

This app was made to share and access your files from your Windows, MACOSX or Linux based computer. That’s a good thing you can do that in an easier way but you probably need a Wi-Fi phone or maybe this app is something like dropbox and if it is, then I recommend you to get the dropbox app. Unfortunately, this app is so new that it has absolutely no review and no rate so we’re not sure how good is this app.

The app is free and you can download it from here.

Flashlight app review

This is that kind of app that seems very useful and after you read the description, you definitely feel like you need to have that app but I’m telling you that after you feel that need, check the reviews and the overall rating score. Well, this is another must have app and yes, I checked the reviews and most of them are saying that this app is quite worth it.

 Flashlight app review

There are not too many things to say about this app. It’s basically a flash light app but comparing it with the other apps like this one, in this app you can also choose the color. You might think that that’s for entertaining purposes and I thought that too but it’s not. It seems that each colored light has its own use. You can read about that in the description and in the app and that info is very useful.

The interface is more than easy to understand and to use and there are not too many buttons and / or ads that would normally be found in such an app. Also the overall rating score of this app is 3/5 from 614 reviews which I think it’s enough.

The app is free and you can download it from here.

Storm and Torch only – Level app review

This is like the most famous app for any platform that has ever been made or at least one of them. If you have a phone with accelerometer, you definitely know this app. I think there was one man that built an app like this for a specific phone and then, all developers for all platforms developed more apps like that one.

Storm and Torch only Level app review

You basically open this app and then you place your Storm on the surface that you want to check to see if it stays fine. I’ve seen many versions of apps like this one but I have to say that this one is probably one of the weakest ones. Those tubes look like they’re filled with beer or even worst and it doesn’t look that catchy as the other apps I saw but in the end, you just need this app to work properly.

You probably feel released to see that this app has 4/5 stars because for the BlackBerry platform (actually the touch platform), this is the only app of this kind. Also, as you see in the title, this app is only available for the Torch and Storm.

This app is free and you can download it from here.

BlackBerry Bold 9780 gets reviewed [2/2]

BlackBerry Bold 9780 BlackBerry Bold 9780 gets reviewed [2/2]This is the continuing part of the precedent article which can be read here (you have to read that article before reading this one to understand it). As I was saying, this phone doesn’t bring anything new on the visual aspect comparing to its predecessor but there are some major changes made in this phone that you should really read if you’re considering in buying such a phone.

As I said, this phone will come with the new BlackBerry OS6 which might be the reason of why they also doubled the RAM memory on the new BlackBerry Bold 9780.

The new BlackBerry Bold 9780 also comes with HVGA display, full QWERTY keyboard (which I have to say that it feels awesome in hands and it will be a pleasure to write text messages, e-mails and so on), an optical trackpad which will allow you to browse the menu much easier. This phone also comes with 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS so it definitely fits perfectly in the internet world. It will also have a microSD slot card but we don’t know its capacity yet. There are also no specs about its processor on the internet but I think there will be some rumors about that too soon.

BlackBerry Bold 9780 gets reviewed [1/2]

Few months ago, this phone was rumored to be the next Onyx II but as you can see in the title, it’s actually going to be named BlackBerry Bold 9780 but in the final stage, the only things that actually matter are the specifications of this phone. Of course, many of the things I’m going to tell you know are mostly rumors but most of them are also almost 100% sure.

BlackBerry Bold 97800 BlackBerry Bold 9780 gets reviewed [1/2]

Talking about the aspect of the new phone, there is absolutely nothing to impress you because this phone looks a lot like its predecessor. Also don’t expect from people to be so excited about it like they were about the BlackBerry Torch 9800 because that was something new from Rim that was never done before.

This new phone will come with the new BlackBerry OS6 so probably that’s why RIM added double RAM memory. This phone also comes with a 5 MP camera but the photos are not so surprising as you might be expecting to be but at the same time, they are much better comparing to its predecessor. That also happens because people don’t buy smartphones to take high quality pictures. There is also a review video that can be watched by clicking here; enjoy!
