Research In Motion, the company that makes BlackBerry smart phones said it would lay off 10% of employees worldwide, namely 2,000 workers. The decision was taken due to heavy losses suffered by the phone maker lately.
RIM officials said the job reduction is part of the cost optimization. After dismissal, RIM will have about 17,000 employees, globally."We focus on cost reduction and relocation of resources to areas that offer greater growth opportunities and that aligns with the strategic objectives of RIM," said a company spokesman. Also, company spokesman also announced the departure of the operating chief, Don Morrison, who retired after 10 years of work in the company. This definitely isn't good news for Blackberry or Blackberry costumers. If this is only the beginning, that means that it will follow with a increase of prices and many more.
Moreover, Blackberry will keep producing terminals with Blackberry OS, which is not exactly on the top of operating systems regarding applications.
A tweet was launched today on behalf of BlackBerry officials , that suggests the announcement of some new RIM terminals. The same tweet says that they have a newer OS, more precisely the BlackBerry OS 7.
Knowing the internal problems of the Canadians regarding the directorial appeal between Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis, which has in the roots, the sharp decrease in popularity of BlackBerry devices and the period between the announcement of a terminal and its commercial launch - see example PlayBook. I wonder if the handsets that are announced tomorrow will start to get into the hands of those interested before Christmas?
It will not be so, because I tend to believe that Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis will be put on hold(if you know what I mean) even before the new terminal to reach the store's or retailer websites.
Returning to the tweet, the information we gathered from the Internet and previous rumors, I expect that the Blackberrys that are presented tomorrow to be : Bold 9790, Torch 9810, Torch 9850, Torch 9860, Curve 9350 and Curve 9360.
FCC is the U.S. authority that tests and approves all electronic products before their market launch, and now came the turn for BlackBerry Bold 9900 to enter their headquarters. Along with this news we find out that the terminal will be launched in August, at least in the United States.
FCC Tests focuses specifically on connectivity, with a strong accent on Bluetooth, NFC and WiFi, and yet we have no news about the network connections that this smart-phone has.
At this time, RIM put all their hopes in this smartphone, which will become the most evolved in means of specifications in the Canadian portfolio. We are dealing with a mobile processor 1.2 GHz, 2.8-inch touch-screen display with 640 x 480 pixels and 768 MB RAM. BlackBerry OS 7 is on theterminal, or rather a rebranded BB OS 6.1, to bring us closer to the QNX OS.
Let's see if the phone operator will be put the Blackberry Bold 9900 on sale in August or September.

RIM finally enters the 21st century with the future BlackBerry OS 6.Whether it is art or not, BlackBerry sold in the last three months 10.5 million, so a lot of people want such an update, with a changed interface design for the BlackBerry,it can only rejoice.
This is very good, but honestly, why is RIM is so ? The company recently launched two new smartphones (Bold9650 and Pearl 3G)but these smartphones do not bring who knows what improvements to the software. However the company said that with little effort, that the BlackBerry 6 launch will not be on the next calendar quarter. We will just have to wait and see what does BlackBerry 6 brings to the table. The rumors say that this operating system will be a very good product , and it will change the market. Overall, since president Obama started using the BlackBerry products, the company experienced an improvement in sales worldwide.
Par 72 Golf is a 3D golf game that will help get rid of the boredom and turn your BlackBerry smartphone in a golf course. With 18 holes!

The game runs on all
BlackBerry models, but for those who use the
BlackBerry Storm (touchscreen), we need some additional settings. Compatibility Mode. Options -> Advanced Options ->Applications -> press the menu and turn off compatibility mode. Par 72 Golf cost $ 6.99, but if you want to play on one hole the trial version (free) is available too. The game is pretty cool, fun and entertaining. The hole aim of the game is to hit the golf ball into the hole, in less shoots as possible. Depending on your point, you advance to the next round or not.In every round you will play with different players , and for me that is a minus.
In conclusion the Par 72 Golf game is very relaxing and entertaining and you can play it on your BlackBerry phone or tablet without a problem.

If you live anywhere in this planet, you'd know that the BlackBerry Playbook has been launched, amid much hype, both good and bad.
Whatever you may think of this device, it's important to note that tablets aren't for everyone. Those can afford smartphone and want something to go with them would enjoy the company of a bigger screen with similar functionality, and that's in my opinion, what a tablet like the Playbook is supposed to do.

The major criticism entered when it was found that the BlackBerry tablet does not allow for email if a BlackBerry smartphone is not present. This is silly, what if there is a network connection available RIM? Besides coming a bit late to race, it still lacks a few details that can very well fixed with a software update.
We can then glimpse into the hardware features, which will definitely not change. The specs that clearly jump to my eyes are the 7" touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz processor and the QNX operating system.
I have already played with the BlackBerry Playbook tablet before, so I can say that the user interface is excellent, the specs are appropriate, it's only this email issue that needs to be solved.
PayPal is probably the God of online businesses. It’s like an international bank. Actually, it is really considered to be a bank because I remember they asked for an identity card excusing themselves but they’re now a realy bank and they have to do that.

Anyway, this time I want to talk to you by the official PayPal app because if you use this service a lot and you have a BlackBerry, you should consider getting an app for that. As I said, the developer is the eBay Company which also owns PayPal so I think I got this clear for you until now.
I was surprised to see that they only have 2.5/5 stars from 352 reviews. I read some reviews and I have noticed that most customers were experiencing seriously problems. As an example, many of them can’t send money or accept payments or anything like that. They can only check their balance. I think that after some time, eBay will sort this out because they did an awesome job with the iOS app. It works perfect and it looks even better and I think they should do the same thing with this one too. The app is free and you can get it from the App World.
