The new BlackBerry Torch 9800 slider

By | August 4, 2010

gsmarena 005 The new BlackBerry Torch 9800 sliderRIM and AT&T just announced the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 slider and as you might know, there were a lot of rumors on the internet about it and some “spy photos” too. Most people thought that this was going to make part of Storm family but it doesn’t as you see. I was quite expecting that because there is no Storm with so many buttons.

You should also know that this phone is a premiere coming from RIM being the first slider phone they built until now. If you want my opinion, this phone looks pretty ugly and I don’t think that a full physical keyboard fits so well a big touch screen display with the slide technology and over the internet there are many other people thinking the same thing.

Excluding the design, this phone comes with some cool features including the new OS, GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G connections. It also comes with 512Mb of operating memory which is a cool feature. It also comes with a 624MHz processor and 4Gb of internal memory with a microSD slot card which supports up to 32Gb being more than enough for any kind of smartphone. At the same time, RIM made the Storm 2 available to South Korea too.
